Business Passion

Most people interested in a home based business don't really want a home based business...

What they really want is freedom. The question is why? The answer might be the freedom to raise your own children while still making enough to survive. It might be freedom from the crushing 8:00 to 5:00 grind with the one hour commute on each end. It might be the freedom of not being owned by your company and having to jump when they tell you to in order to keep your job. It might even be the freedom to do what you want, when you want with your time.

If this is the case, why do most home based businesses fail within the first year? A lot of people in the home based business field got started by a recommendation from a friend or from an infomercial that told them that they could earn the freedom that they craved with little or no effort by duplicating a system set up be someone else that was foolproof. In a lot of cases they were mislead. The so called "System" didn't really exist. Or the product/business was a scam to prey on desperate people for their money. In most of these cases the business owner could have saved a lot of time and money by researching their chosen home business before jumping in. That's called "Due Diligence" and every business owner learns that it must be done before committing to any potential business offer.

But what happened to the people who got into a real, legitimate business and still didn't make it? It's called "Passion". Once you find a real business opportunity you need to ask yourself...How long can I do this before giving up due to lack of progress? How committed will I be to making this work in the face of adversity? How much time am I willing to dedicate to this opportunity?

When you have done your due diligence and answered the questions above honestly you need to ask yourself one more question...Can I be passionate about this business? Can I be driven to make it work because I believe in it? Can I honestly recommend it in the face of doubting prospects with the knowledge that the doubters are just ignorant about what this is and the opportunity that it offers?

If you answered the last few questions "Yes" not only can you be passionate about your business, but you also have just exhibited what's known as "Faith". The definition of faith is...
" The hope of things unseen with the surety that they will come to pass". That my friends is the definition of a winning home based business mindset. You have to believe. But by itself belief isn't enough though. Plenty of people believe in their business and still never make it past the first few obstacles. Why? Lack of passion.

Every truly successful business owner will tell you that needed a lot of faith to get their businesses going and to keep them running. But they will also tell you that in order to keep pressing on in the face of adversity they also needed passion. If something wasn't working like it was supposed to, they had the passion to keep learning, and digging for answers until they fixed the problem so that they could move on towards being successful. They also needed the passion to convince others that they were on the right track in order to secure loans, or training, or help until they corrected the problems that they were having. They needed passion in order to propagate their product or service to the unbelieving public. I don't care what kind of business you own, you still need someone who wants to buy your product or service in order to make money. That my friends is called "Sales". In order to sell successfully you need passion. People can smell a rat. They can smell desperation on a salesperson. They can sense insincerity.

Your main tool to overcome all these obstacles is faith and passion. One without the other can lead you in the wrong direction, or make you give up without exercising every option at your disposal. You can tell a person that has both. They never give up, they never get knocked down for long, they usually have a very positive mentality, thy are expert problem solvers, they have limitless energy, they smile and laugh a lot. These are the people that others want to follow, they are the people others want to duplicate.

They are people with faith and passion and they are going places. They are not waiting for the future to work itself out, they are actively changing it and making it happen they way that they see it in their mind. Exercise your passion today and change your future and that of your family, and your children, and the future of those around you, forever.
