How do you know what's real and what's a scam?

In the Home Business industry there are more opportunities screaming "make money here" than anyone can possibly research. How do you know where to go and what to look at?

The first thing you can do is look at some of the opportunities that are out there and discount the ones that tell you that you can make a boatload of money in the first few days with no effort. Not gonna happen. EVERY business takes money and effort. There are some businesses that take very little money and a lot of effort, and there are some that take more money and somewhat less effort. You have to decide how much money and time you are willing to risk.

I have been in a bunch of different business and signed up for even more opportunities just to find out that the business offered too little (or no) payback for too much effort or was a complete scam.

Did I stop trying? No way. The only way to find out about some of these is to check them out. You'll find out that you are buying a lot of small opportunities for $29.00 or $50.00 or even $129.00. You'll also opt in for a lot of newsletters that make you crazy, but that's the cost of cracking the code in the online marketing or work at home business industry. For the ones that were complete scams and were over $100 I got my money back. For the ones that were small money I considered it the cost of learning the business and took it on the chin.

So after a bunch of searching and trying, I have come up with a few serious opportunities that are legitimate. I have also come across some relatively inexpensive (or Free) business tools that have proven to be very useful. In all of these opportunities I have done my due diligence, researched the businesses, and I've spoken to more then one rep or principal in these business that gave me enough info to make an intelligent decision.

Now for the hard part...Massive Action. There is not a single internet marketing opportunity or home based business that you can join that requires no effort.
The good business opportunities are the ones that have a serious business system, complete with audio and video training, and usually with software like a splash page or back office that allow you to learn and duplicate the business with no previous knowledge. Even with these tools you have to put in the effort to get results. You have to put in massive initial effort to achieve quick results. Most of these systems will allow you to go at your own pace, but the longer you take to learn and start duplicating the business, the longer it takes to make any real money.

I've started putting links up to some of the opportunities and tools that I have found to be worthwhile. I'm sure that there are many more that are also worth looking at. Whatever you do, look around and opt in to a few opportunities. You can usually do this for free to start learning. Use your brain to determine what makes sense and what does not. Making $90,000 in a week with almost no effort does not! Making $5000 to $10,000 a month out of the gate does, but it is definitely going to take effort. The big winners are all about believing in the system that they are in and finding a way to "Crack the Code" to make their opportunity work. And that means effort. The best systems will also not leave you out there on your own. They all come with some kind of mentoring to keep you going in the right direction and to have someone to ask questions and get answers from.

Go ahead and check out the links that I posted. At the very least they will show you what a real, legitimate opportunity looks like and what they offer and what they provide for tools and training. At first glance every opportunity looks like a scam. After looking at these pages you can find others to check out or you can e-mail me to ask questions about the ones that I've posted. I'd be happy to tell you what I did and how I found out that these opportunities were the real thing. The real winners in this business are not afraid to tell you what they are doing and where they learned how to do it. There is plenty of potential out there for those of you who are willing to buckle down and learn the business.
